Worshipping God is at the center of our existence at Beautiful Savior. Everything we do here prepares us to come together each week for worship--a celebration of Christ’s love for us and his presence in our lives. A gathering, if you will, that creates the ‘Body of Christ”. Therefore, the gathering of the assembly is itself the activity of God; a gathering of those who are called out and called together. We share the message of Christ proclaimed in scripture readings, preaching, prayer, and singing. Weekly we share the meal of “Holy Communion”, in which we recognize Jesus in the breaking of the bread. And then, we are all sent to serve, to participate in Christ’s mission throughout the world.
The worship team at Beautiful Savior prays that we all come together to experience worship. That we put God first and come each week to serve, thank and praise God for the wonderful gift of life and grace he has given to us. When many people come together and worship, you soon realize that it is about offering ourselves to Christ. If we offer ourselves in worship it becomes a life changing time for us--we place our lives on the altar; at the foot of the cross. We give God our whole lives so we can truly concentrate our efforts on loving God and one another.
Worship in word and sacrament is God’s gift to the church. What is yours? We, at Beautiful Savior, are blessed with many different gifts. Some of those gifts are very evident, such as the Lectors and the Choir. But, there are even many more people work “behind the scenes” each week to prepare for worship on Sunday mornings.
