Deacons Corner

The Deacons' Prayer Ministry has begun. On July 17 deacons were present at the 9:30 service to offer personal prayer with those who wanted it as part of the communion liturgy. On July 24 the deacons offered personal prayer at the 11:00 service and on July 31 at the 8:00 service. We expect to keep that schedule from now on, alternating from one service to the next.

Deacons are also working on a prayer circle, which should be in place in August. When you have prayer concerns, you may note it in the prayer book on Sunday morning. During the week you may call the office or send a request through the web site or by e-mail to the office. A call for prayer will go out to those who have volunteered to be in the prayer circle by e-mail or by phone shortly after the request is made.

You are invited to participate in the Deacon ministry and the Prayer Ministry:

• As a Visitation Deacon, taking Holy Communion to those who are unable to attend Sunday worship because of illness or disability; 

•  As a Prayer Deacon, offering personal prayer at Sunday worship during communion with those who want it.

•  As part of the Prayer Circle , responding to prayer requests during the week.
