BETWEEN BOOKENDS

Do you enjoy the Game of Golf or love to read about Golf's greatest players; Masters?

If the answer is YES, (thanks to Dick Molin), our library has just what you'd enjoy: the biography, "Payne Stewart." It was written by Tracey stewart, Payne's wife, with Ken Abraham. Though it's a story about golf and golf tournaments, it's mostly about a fine Christian man, his family and friends.

Payne Stewart was born in 1957; played golf at the early age of four.

After college went on to the Asian tour where he met his Australian born wife. She played a significant part in his professional career.

The y had 2 children and had a great life together for 18 years until his tragic death in 1999.

Since both my father and husband were dedicated golfers, and I was a duffer for awhile, I knew of Payne Stewart as a flamboyant, remarkable golf professional. However, I knew nothing about the personal life of this deeply Christian man. I found this book about Payne Stewart to be an interesting and inspiring read.
