Property Team

The property team has been busy recently keeping up with recurring maintenance and making improvements to help enhance everyone’s experience here at Beautiful Savior.  One of the most noticeable projects was the widening of the driveway off Thornydale, making for a safer entry and exit.   The courtyard at the Academy has seen a number of enhancements, including the addition of retaining walls, steps, railings and pavers.  The result is a much safer and more pleasant space for children and adults to enjoy.  Other things that you may have noticed are the addition of railing and picnic tables on the small patio east of Werner Hall.  One of the big news items is the fact that we had a Boy Scout sign up for a project as part of his Eagle Scout requirements.  Thanks to his efforts in supervising congregational members and other Scouts, we now have a path cleared to an open area south of the Academy.  Over the next few months there will be continued improvements that will result in a Meditation Path where individuals or small groups can retreat for a closer walk with God.

There are other projects in works too numerous to mention, and will need your help to realize completion.  We are looking for volunteers of any age, male or female, who want to help make a difference.  To that end we are announcing the start of monthly work days that will be scheduled the 4th Saturday of each month, starting the 28th of June.  There will be devotions in the Memorial Garden at 7 a.m. followed by assignment of tasks.  You are invited to spend an hour, or the entire morning, assisting others in improving the grounds and buildings.  No particular skills are required.  Come on by, and maybe you will learn a new skill or get to know someone better.

Thanks to everyone that spends countless hours helping out around campus.  God appreciates a cheerful worker.
