This past weekend we had a few wonderful meetings where we celebrated the hard work of your leadership here at Beautiful Savior.  First we had the quarterly congregational meeting where we approved an amended well BALANCED BUDGET!

That in itself is fantastic!  Then afterwards, the Transition Team and the Council got together and they needed to reflect upon the current mission statement of Beautiful Savior. We have completed it and we will be presenting you the new Mission Statement which simply states: Living in grace, Love and Action.

Our Vision statement is:    To live in Generosity by Reaching out to all people; to be an Advocate to our community in the name of Jesus Christ; to show Compassion and offer Encouragement to God’s world.

If you look carefully at the key words of this vision statement you can see that we did not abandon the acronym G.R.A.C.E. that we have implemented so much into our ministries…. We expanded the words into action!   This is our everyday vision that we live our ministries in Jesus name!

That leads us to our Core Values where:

We welcome and love all people.

We value diversity in the body of Christ.

We strive to grow in Christ through worship, learning and action.

We hunger to serve and respond to those in need.

In summary:  All of this describes the church as the living Jesus working through us!

Other action items we tended to:

  • Appointment of Mark Mittelstadt to Council to fulfill a vacancy
  • Received report from the Academy
  • Received update on the Transition Team -  Reports to be completed this month!

Special thanks to our new Treasurer, Bill Sisco,  and our Book-Keeper, Donna Emmans, who worked tirelessly on the numbers to make our budget as detailed and organized as we have it now.  THANK YOU!!

Peace,

Pastor Tony
