Who do you say that YOU are?

Yes, the Gospel for this Sunday is Jesus asking his disciples about who do people say that he is, and who do the disciples say that he is (Matthew 16:13-20)- but go with me.

After all, what is said about you, especially by others, is a sign of what people are hearing/seeing in/from you.

There will be those who will misunderstand and mischaracterize you, just as people did to Jesus, but they are really showing who they think they are when they do that.

But do you ever stop and ask yourself the question- who do you say that you are?  Then perhaps ask friends and colleagues how they would answer that question about you?

You may find some strengths and gifts that you didn't realize, or think you really had.  You may also find some weaknesses and blind spots as well.

Remember, that ultimately God has an answer for who you are.
A beloved child, muchly loved and blessed.

No matter who you are- because that is exactly who God is.
