| StewardshipLetter from Pastor Tony This week I want to share with you some inspiring words from Rick Warren who has written some good stuff over the years. Here is an article that I wanted to share with you as we all discern our stewardship to the church this year.
From Rick Warren: –“Every Sunday each of you must put aside some money, in proportion to what you have earned” (1 Corinthians 16:2, TEV). It may surprise you to learn that Jesus taught more about money and possessions than He did about heaven or hell. The word “give” is used more than 1,500 times in the Bible, more than the words faith, hope, love or pray. Why? Obviously, God doesn’t need our money. He’s not poor. But God does want us to become like Him and that will only happen if we learn to be generous. God is a giver — the most generous giver in the universe. Everything you have is a gift from God! | Memorial Garden Beautification ProjectHelp us purchase smaller pots for desert plants After 20 years, the Memorial Garden is undergoing an upgrade. The goal is to transition from watered plants to xeriscaping, which negates the need for watering. As part of this effort, the 6 large glazed ceramic pots are being replaced with smaller containers more suitable for new desert plants. To help offset refurbishment costs, the pots are available to church members for $25.00 apiece. Please communicate with Greg Ogden (blsc@ogdenengr.com) or Jenni in the Office to get one. If you don’t need a large pot, additional donations to the Memorial Garden would be greatly appreciated. This would help defray costs and speed up the transition to water-free landscaping in the Garden. |

| Outdoor Worship & church picnicEveryone is invited! - Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 10am Beautiful Savior is planning an outdoor service followed by a church picnic. Long-time members will recall the fun and fellowship we enjoyed at church picnics a few years ago. We have reserved the ramada and tables at Denny Dunn Park, just down the hill from the church at 4400 W Massingale Rd, Tucson. NOTE: There will only be one worship service at 10am on Sunday, Nov. 9th at the park, with NO worship service here at BSLC. Thanks to Garrett Bryant the worship from the park will be livestreamed, see the church website or email newsletter for the link. Bring your own camp chairs or blankets to sit on the ground. For those who don't have chairs the church will have a limited number available at the park. If you wish to drink something non-alcoholic other than water, please bring your own. The church will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, and water. We are asking members to bring side dishes and desserts to share in order to create a delicious Beautiful Savior potluck of food & goodies! Sign up on the sheets in the gathering area (email the office) to bring: A team of Mark Mittelstadt, Andy Anderson, Al Steichen, Don Swanson and Pete Pederson are working hard to make this a success. If you have suggestions please contact one of them. |
