Paradox of KindnessLetter from Pastor Jeff Dear Beautiful Savior, This week I want to ask if showing kindness and being kind is a struggle for you? I would be lying if I told you it has always been easy for me. What I have found over the years is it’s about me making a choice. I came across this note titled the paradox of kindness. The Paradox of Kindness You'll give your time, your care, your heart often to people who may never give it back.

Storms & Flooding in the MidwestLutheran Disaster Relief Two weeks ago, heavy storms brought significant flooding and damage to communities across the upper Midwest. Homes were inundated, roads were washed out, and residents are beginning the difficult work of assessing what was lost. At the same time, severe weather continues to affect communities in many parts of the United States, leaving a trail of damage that will require significant cleanup and long-term recovery. Your past generosity has made this steady presence possible. Because of you, Lutheran Disaster Response can respond with flexibility, adapting to changing needs, and stay behind after the news media have moved on. When storms strike in multiple places at once — whether or not they ever make the national news — your sustained support becomes even more important. Will you make a gift today to support Lutheran Disaster Response’s ongoing storm-recovery efforts? |

We gather in the unity of Christ and are all invited to the Lord’s Table. He is the host —we are all guests. We celebrate that Jesus came to us and continues to come to us. In faith we receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior. We believe that he did this “for you.” We welcome ALL to Communion for it is the Lord’s Table and Jesus’s gift of grace to the world.
