Forgiveness

Forgiveness

Letter from Pastor Annemarie

“…How often should I forgive? As many as seven times?”
Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy times seven.”
Matthew 18:21-22

Who is Jesus Christ and what does it look like to follow in Christ’s Way? Our Sunday series about following Jesus continues!

This Sunday, Jesus tells a parable about God’s reign and the forgiveness that comes in Christ. Unimaginable debt forgiven by the unimaginably gracious love of God. And what that means for us in forgiving others.

Fredrick Buechner, in his book Wishful Thinking: A Seeker’s ABC, said about forgiveness, “What Jesus apparently is saying is that the pride which keeps us from forgiving is the same pride which keeps us from accepting forgiveness, and will God please help us do something about it.....

Is there a place in your life calling for forgiveness? To give or receive? The Good News is .....

Message from Presiding Bishop Curry

Watch and share Presiding Bishop Yehiel Curry’s message for “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday.

Through our acts of service, we bear witness to the love and concern God’s people have for one another. Our congregations do this every day, accompanying their neighbors and addressing community needs. We are connected through this shared work. These ministries belong to all of us in the ELCA.

The Rev. Yehiel Curry
Presiding Bishop

Notes on Sunday's Music

This Sunday’s worship will be led by FUSION, the musical team that includes guitars, mandolin, drums, piano, and singers.  The group was started on November 25, 2012 without an official name but with the well-defined, focused goal of blending different styles of worship music – anything from the old hymns of the faith of centuries past all the way to the contemporary Christian praise songs heard on today’s Christian radio, and everything in between, even Blue Grass Gospel songs!  The name “FUSION” (Faith Upheld in Song Inspired by Old and New) was adopted in 2014 at the suggestion of our singer and flutist Becka Claasen, who later moved to Kansas City.

By mixing the old and new types of music, we are following Psalm 149:1: “Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.”  There is just something really special about singing and praising God together!

So, even if you feel you can’t sing, maybe you can make a joyful noise...

Sunday Worship

Sunday Worship

9am in person and livestreamed - Sunday, September 13, 2026

Welcome into our community today as we seek to follow the one who gathers us.
May you feel a connection to the beautiful Savior in worship this day! May you join us in Living in Grace, Love and Action.

We gather in the unity of Christ and are all invited to the Lord’s Table. He is the host —we are all guests. We celebrate that Jesus came to us and continues to come to us.  In faith we receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior. We believe that he did this “for you.” We welcome ALL to Communion for it is the Lord’s Table and Jesus’s gift of grace to the world.

Join us in-person, on Facebook Live at Beautifulsaviortucson, and on Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88641186563   Meeting ID: 886 4118 6563 and Passcode: 188820
